But the reason I was confused was because the presets that I had bookmarked with the coloured buttons had genuinely disappeared from those bookmark buttons. I just had to click on the selected coloured button again to see all the presets. I have reinstalled Guitar Rig and I have reset the preset library, but the presets remain missing. It became as if the presets were not there anymore. The presets I had bookmarked were no longer there, and I couldn't get back to the list of presets. My presets were there until I clicked on the coloured buttons where I had bookmarked a few presets. I opened Guitar Rig 6 in standalone mode.
Now I no longer get the message that there is another instance of Guitar Rig running, but the Presets tab remains completely empty. I also noticed that the Presets tab was now completely empty. Suddenly, when I opened the Guitar Rig interface, I got a message saying that another instance of Guitar Rig was open and therefore something or other, even though I didn't have another instance of Guitar Rig running anywhere on that computer.
I have an Ableton Live project with one instance of Guitar Rig 6 in it.
